We have enough interest that the Peep Show will go on! It will be smaller than previous years, but that is okay. :)
All-O-ver, Ol-i-vore . . . we're learning that Oliver's name has some fun mispronunciations.
Also, ask him what is name is and this is what you'll hear: "My name is Oli . . . Oli . . . Oliv . . . Oli . . . I don't know."
Here I am at SFO. Again. What should have been a 40 minute layover has turned into a 5 hour layover with merely a possibility of getting on the red-eye at 10:30. Flying standby. And if I don't get on the standby flight . . . they tell me my next shot at JFK isn't for 24 hours. Yeah. So let's hope that doesn't happen. And if I don't get on standby, well, there's got to be another way home.
S: Oliver, Is Mom a child of God?
O: Yes!
S: No, Mom is a grown up!
The one night -- ever -- when Micah and I get to bed at 10:00 and could, feasibly, get 9 hours of uninterrupted sleep, Simon wakes up crying inexplicably at midnight and can't go back to sleep, Oliver falls out of bed, and we're all out a couple of hours of sleep. Clearly we need to never try to go to to bed early. It's the only way to get a good night's sleep around here.
We got home yesterday morning and one of the first things I saw when I walked in the door was a book that was due the day before. Oops. So once we were all awake, dressed, and fed (at 4:30 in the afternoon, don’t judge), we moseyed on over to the library to return it. I also let the boys play around a pick a few books while I sat and watched for 20 minutes or so. Because, why not? They were being great and it sure beat trying to chase them around the playground.
When we checked out our books I was informed we had a DVD on hold. A surprise! I love surprises. It was volume 2 of Downton Abbey, a BBC miniseries. A friend introduced us to it and we are pretty hooked. There are only 6 episodes, and as of last night we are half way through them. Who knew that the lives of the aristocracy of the English countryside and their household help could be so intriguing?
My recommendation is that you snag it on Netflix or your library or wherever you go to find cheap home entertainment as soon as you can.

This was on TV a while ago as a part of the masterpiece classic series and I watched the whole thing. It was only the first half though, so I’ve been really curious about what happens. I guess I’ll have to check and see if my library has the second half.
Lizzie, the more I get to know you through your blog the more I see our similar tastes. I love all things PBS and they had this program online a few months ago. However, it was not the complete series so I’m excited to see how it ends! Right now they have Masterpiece Mystery, also great fun.
Just yesterday this was recommended to us by another friend. Can’t wait to check it out.
A series we just finished and loved was BBC’s Larkrise to Candleford. When you need another good, clean English series, check that one out.
Hmm, that sounds intriguing! It’s always good to have new shows to watch. :0) Speaking of shows, I just re-watched the season finale of Fringe and while it made a lot more sense the second time, I’m still completely baffled by the last scene. I guess we’ll have to wait until September to figure anything out, but I hope it will make sense then!!
