We have enough interest that the Peep Show will go on! It will be smaller than previous years, but that is okay. :)
All-O-ver, Ol-i-vore . . . we're learning that Oliver's name has some fun mispronunciations.
Also, ask him what is name is and this is what you'll hear: "My name is Oli . . . Oli . . . Oliv . . . Oli . . . I don't know."
Here I am at SFO. Again. What should have been a 40 minute layover has turned into a 5 hour layover with merely a possibility of getting on the red-eye at 10:30. Flying standby. And if I don't get on the standby flight . . . they tell me my next shot at JFK isn't for 24 hours. Yeah. So let's hope that doesn't happen. And if I don't get on standby, well, there's got to be another way home.
S: Oliver, Is Mom a child of God?
O: Yes!
S: No, Mom is a grown up!
The one night -- ever -- when Micah and I get to bed at 10:00 and could, feasibly, get 9 hours of uninterrupted sleep, Simon wakes up crying inexplicably at midnight and can't go back to sleep, Oliver falls out of bed, and we're all out a couple of hours of sleep. Clearly we need to never try to go to to bed early. It's the only way to get a good night's sleep around here.
On the train. Micah is wearing Oliver, standing, holding onto a pole. Oliver reaches out of the carrier, grabs onto the same pole. He notices Micah’s hand above his. He reaches up, grabs Micah’s fingers, pulls his hand off of the pole. He resumes his position. Mission accomplished: the pole is his, and his alone.
I’d say he learned it from his brother, but I don’t think he was around 2 1/2 years ago when that was all the rage with Simon.

I absolutely adore this post in every way.
Why thank you. My favorite is Oliver’s little bum sticking up in the air. Why do babies/kids sleep like that? It’s hilarious.
that picture makes me very happy. and i never would have guessed pole domination is genetic
that’s funny
Oh my goodness. I don’t know how, but I missed the fact that Oliver was even in the picture. I think on first glance I thought he was a pillow. Hilarious! This brought back memories of Simon riding on the back of Micah on the way to his first birthday party. His head kept bobbing near the doorway of the train and several observant passengers felt the need to make it known to the rest of us that Simon was hitting his head. Not so.
That is so cute, isn’t it fun to know that your kids are so much alike?? I’m waiting for the post about Oliver trying to grab the banana out of the bag of the person next to you on the Subway. ;0)
