We have enough interest that the Peep Show will go on! It will be smaller than previous years, but that is okay. :)
All-O-ver, Ol-i-vore . . . we're learning that Oliver's name has some fun mispronunciations.
Also, ask him what is name is and this is what you'll hear: "My name is Oli . . . Oli . . . Oliv . . . Oli . . . I don't know."
Here I am at SFO. Again. What should have been a 40 minute layover has turned into a 5 hour layover with merely a possibility of getting on the red-eye at 10:30. Flying standby. And if I don't get on the standby flight . . . they tell me my next shot at JFK isn't for 24 hours. Yeah. So let's hope that doesn't happen. And if I don't get on standby, well, there's got to be another way home.
S: Oliver, Is Mom a child of God?
O: Yes!
S: No, Mom is a grown up!
The one night -- ever -- when Micah and I get to bed at 10:00 and could, feasibly, get 9 hours of uninterrupted sleep, Simon wakes up crying inexplicably at midnight and can't go back to sleep, Oliver falls out of bed, and we're all out a couple of hours of sleep. Clearly we need to never try to go to to bed early. It's the only way to get a good night's sleep around here.
It’s mid-September, and you know what that means. Halloween is practically here. We’ve had the boys’ costumes figured out since July, but we’re just now getting started on the actual construction. The first step was to chop up a bunch of styrofoam to use for stuffing. It looked like it was snowing in our kitchen for a little while, but if all goes as planned, it should be well worth it.Next task: find tight-fitting green pajamas for the little man.
i knew we were kindred spirits! i too have had the costumes in mind for far too long, but you have me beat on the construction! i better get started!
Can't wait to see your creations! Tight-fitting green pjs are the building blocks of great costumes.
Hmm, I'm intrigued – I'm trying to think of everything that could possibly need styrofoam stuffing and green PJs. Sounds pretty cool!
That's awesome that we both posted about Halloween today – great minds… ;0)
I've been trying to guess all day…
turtles? not creative enough.
TMNTurtles? probably not.
peas in a pod? too overdone.
snow-covered Christmas trees? but then the pjs would be brown.
a snow globe? only if you wanted to suffocate your children.
a green wallet? okay, that's lame.
Can't wait to see them!
can't wait to see what it is!
I hate suspense!
hahaha
I hate waiting in suspense. i meant.
I'm so looking forward to Halloween now! My students don't get to dress up at school this year.
