We have enough interest that the Peep Show will go on! It will be smaller than previous years, but that is okay. :)
All-O-ver, Ol-i-vore . . . we're learning that Oliver's name has some fun mispronunciations.
Also, ask him what is name is and this is what you'll hear: "My name is Oli . . . Oli . . . Oliv . . . Oli . . . I don't know."
Here I am at SFO. Again. What should have been a 40 minute layover has turned into a 5 hour layover with merely a possibility of getting on the red-eye at 10:30. Flying standby. And if I don't get on the standby flight . . . they tell me my next shot at JFK isn't for 24 hours. Yeah. So let's hope that doesn't happen. And if I don't get on standby, well, there's got to be another way home.
S: Oliver, Is Mom a child of God?
O: Yes!
S: No, Mom is a grown up!
The one night -- ever -- when Micah and I get to bed at 10:00 and could, feasibly, get 9 hours of uninterrupted sleep, Simon wakes up crying inexplicably at midnight and can't go back to sleep, Oliver falls out of bed, and we're all out a couple of hours of sleep. Clearly we need to never try to go to to bed early. It's the only way to get a good night's sleep around here.
Last night we went out to dinner with some friends. We went to a place that really takes their pancakes seriously. Especially the cake part of the word. I have to admit that I was skeptical when Jay told us the pancakes were as big as pizzas, stacked three high. As you can see, I shouldn’t have doubted. It was honestly like eating a three layer cake.I don’t want to brag or anything, but I totally out-ate the three guys at the table. I give Simon all the credit.
holy smoke! Where dya get the pancakes bra?
My first attempt at writing pigeon (?).
No but really I totally want to go check those babies out!
Love it. I think your attempt is much more successful than mine would be.
The place is called MAC 24/7 and it is in the Hilton Waikiki Prince Kuhio on Kuhio Ave. I’d recommend trying it out if you get the chance. Just be sure to bring another couple or two, because there is no way you and Chad could eat them all.
By the way good job at out eating the guys! Breastfeeding is great–isn’t it?
It sure is. I don’t even remember the last time I felt full for longer than five minutes.
In case anybody was wondering about the picture, it was taken with my camera phone. That is why it isn’t the best quality.
The pancakes on the other hand were of excellent quality.
I was just going to say I like the quality of the picture because it makes the pancakes look like something from a dream, and for some reason it reminds me of “A Christmas Story” or “Ollie Hopnoodles Haven of Bliss” or whatever that movie is called. You know, the parts where everything has a halo or shimmer around it to make it look better, or to signify a dream. Maybe it was just the lighting, but I like it.
