We have enough interest that the Peep Show will go on! It will be smaller than previous years, but that is okay. :)
All-O-ver, Ol-i-vore . . . we're learning that Oliver's name has some fun mispronunciations.
Also, ask him what is name is and this is what you'll hear: "My name is Oli . . . Oli . . . Oliv . . . Oli . . . I don't know."
Here I am at SFO. Again. What should have been a 40 minute layover has turned into a 5 hour layover with merely a possibility of getting on the red-eye at 10:30. Flying standby. And if I don't get on the standby flight . . . they tell me my next shot at JFK isn't for 24 hours. Yeah. So let's hope that doesn't happen. And if I don't get on standby, well, there's got to be another way home.
S: Oliver, Is Mom a child of God?
O: Yes!
S: No, Mom is a grown up!
The one night -- ever -- when Micah and I get to bed at 10:00 and could, feasibly, get 9 hours of uninterrupted sleep, Simon wakes up crying inexplicably at midnight and can't go back to sleep, Oliver falls out of bed, and we're all out a couple of hours of sleep. Clearly we need to never try to go to to bed early. It's the only way to get a good night's sleep around here.
I’ve been meaning to give all ya’ll a house tour for some time now, but I have been too lazy to take all of the pictures that I planned to take. But recently I was inspired by Jodie’s ability to post video on their blog, and decided that a video would be much less work and much more effective at showing you just how cool our little apartment is.
So, sit back, relax, turn on your speakers and enjoy our cute, lovely, and beautiful video.
Very cute.
And the curtains look awesome.
And my favorite part is your laundry room.
And how come you didn’t take a shot of you looking all cute, too?
Oh yeah, and I miss you.
I thought you would be jealous of the laundry room. My favorite part is when I have to go out after dark to get the clothes from the dryer and the roaches scatter as I shine my little flashlight on them. Luckily they never get into our clothes.
Wow, I’m surprised how vertical you live.
You definitely decorate better than I do, and I’m SO impressed with your cooking skills in such a tiny kitchen. (That’s an understatement.)
Fun to see.
You two are amazing. LOVED the tour. Loved the curtains. Loved the red walls. You guys are making your own little heaven out of that slice of Hawaii, aren’t you? Love it.
Ditto, “jenerekfamily”. Iron Chef three course competetors and all… you guys rock.
I’m not going to lie, it does get crowded in there, but when we think about all of our friends that don’t even have kitchens (or didn’t at one time or another) because of the laws out here, we bake up another pie and count our blessings.
Thanks for the video. I knew your house was small, but I didn’t know it was that small. Also, if I had a laundry room like that, complete with cockroaches, I’m not sure I would be willing to do too much laundry.
